| Once you have filled out and
submitted the form below, you will be taken to the download link. If you
have recently installed the service pack 2 for xp or 2000 you might already have
the mdac components on your system and will receive a message when trying
to install the MDAC, --not the salon software --that it will not install
if you have download it from the link in the installation menu.
Please read the instructions for VISTA on the
download page Message States :
MDAC 2.8 RTM is
incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its features are
currently part of Windows.
This just means that you already
have it on your PC, and it will not install again. Ignore the message, do
not try to keep installing the mdac 2.8 as you already have it on your
computer. Just install the jet files, and update the jet files, and
then install the salon program.
What is MDAC? The MDAC and the Jet engine are
components necessary for the database to operate.
The shortcut to the program will appear on
your desktop after installing.
Our software is not
globalized. Therefore, if you are outside of the US or use different
regional settings on your pc you will not be able to operate the software
correctly due to the differences in the formatting of dates ie(
MM/DD/YYYY) "unless" your computers regional settings including currency
$$ symbol are set to the US formats( english(US) before installing the
software. This software was designed for those companies who reside
in the US. Go to control panel and click on regional settings and
change them to US ENGLISH. UNINSTALLING and re-installing will not work
as the PC reads the first installation, so please make sure you have the
settings correct before the first installation.
Note:
You need to unlock the
program initially by clicking management button to access the management
area and set permissions. The default passwords
to log in are admin and
admin
in lower case letters.
