The most
efficient way to process credit cards and debit cards with Salon
Salon software, is to use our new integrated credit card processing
system. You can purchase a two track credit card reader that connects to the keyboard. Choose your payment type on the
transaction screen, swipe the credit card, the Salon Salon II
program processes the transaction, and you're finished!
Gift cards now can be
easily processed through Salon Salon II. You issue an amount to a
card through the salon program, and when the client that it was
purchased for comes in to the salon, you can easily redeem it. Best
of all, the balance is automatically updated and posted on the
customers screen. There is a report in the Salon program that
was added specifically for the gift cards that will give you the
ticket#'s ,Dates and redeemed amounts of each gift transaction you
completed through the salon program. There is also a gift log where
you can track who purchased the gift card, who sold it , who it was
sold to , date and amount of the original purchase. Again there is a
report that will allow you to pull up the details of the gift log.
Besides the Salon
Salon II reports, the X-Charge program administrative functions will
allow you to get detailed reports of the actual transactions made,
reducing the chance for error or fraud.
For Debit card transactions a Pin Pad
device is available through X-Charge. Please make sure you purchase the correct cable for the
device as it will be attached to the PC. The PinPad purchased will
then have to be sent to the payment processor ( Global) to be
encrypted. The Pin Pad device is used when a customer wants to pay
by Debit card. They must enter their pin number to the pad for the
transaction to be processed. This is a very small and easy to use
Pin Pad device, that takes up little counter space.

You must have the
X-Charge Salon Salon II version which we will ship to you. There
is no extra charge or fee for this upgrade if you are an existing or
new customer. The only charge you would have is a small S/H fee for
the CD of $6.95 for current users. There will be merchant
transaction fees as with any merchant account and you must contact
X-Charge and sign up through them to be able to use this version
with the credit, debit and gift card integration. This version cannot be downloaded or shipped outside of
the United States. If you are going to install the Salon Salon II
software and are a current customer, you will still need to have the
CD shipped to you in order to be able to install the program on your
PC. You will need to have a modem on your PC ( you can purchase an
external one if your pc does not have one) and a phone line on
your PC or DSL or cable to make the transactions. By default,
X-Charge reverts to a modem ( dial up) if you do not have cable or
DSL.
